Lift board rules

The lift board is a free weekly competition on trayner.app. Load the bar, stand it up, and the heaviest verified lift of the week wins a month of Trayner Pro. It’s run by Just Get Visible Ltd (“we”, “us”), the company that makes Trayner.

1. Who can enter

  • You must be 13 or over. If you’re under 18, enter with the knowledge of a parent or guardian.
  • Entry is free. You don’t need to buy anything, download the app or make an account.
  • One entry per person each week. Using more than one email address to enter more than once isn’t allowed.

2. The week

Each week runs from Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59:59 UK time, and the board resets when the next one starts. A lift has to be entered before the board closes. If you entered before the close, you have until 24 hours after it to confirm your email.

3. Entering

  1. Play the game and stand up a lift.
  2. Enter a nickname, your email and your age group.
  3. Confirm your email with the link Trayner sends. It works once and lasts 24 hours.

Your lift goes on the board once it’s confirmed. You can lift as often as you like; only your heaviest verified lift counts, and a lighter one never replaces it. The browser you confirmed on stays signed in for 90 days, so later lifts go straight on without another email.

4. How lifts are checked

The game runs in your browser, so no one can make it cheat-proof. Trayner checks each lift on its server: it replays the taps you made, at the weight you loaded, and the lift only counts if the replay stands it up too. It also checks the timing.

Some lifts are held for a person to check before they appear: very heavy ones, very fast or very regular tapping, and anything else that looks automated. We can remove a lift or an entry that we reasonably believe was made with a script, an auto-clicker, a modified game or more than one email address. We keep the record of every decision.

5. The winner

  • The heaviest verified lift on the board when it closes wins.
  • If two lifts are the same weight, the one that reached Trayner’s server first wins.
  • The top lift is named the provisional winner automatically. A person then checks it before the prize is awarded. If it doesn’t stand, the next eligible lift is checked.
  • We email the winner at the address they confirmed. If they don’t reply within 14 days, we may award the prize to the next eligible lift.
  • Once a winner is confirmed, their nickname and lift appear under Past weeks on the board.

6. The prize

The prize is one month of Trayner Pro, for the Trayner app on iPhone or Android. We’ll explain how to add it when we email the winner. If you already pay for Pro, tell us when you reply and we’ll sort out how to apply it.

There’s no cash alternative and the prize can’t be transferred. The Beefy Finger is the board’s badge, not a physical prize: nothing is posted.

7. Nicknames

Your nickname is the only thing shown publicly. Keep it decent: nothing offensive, nothing that impersonates someone else, no links, and nothing that suggests you speak for Trayner. We can change or remove a nickname that breaks this.

8. Your details

  • What we keep: your nickname, email, age group, the lifts you enter (weight, taps and timings), and a record of any emails sent. To limit abuse we also keep a coded version of your IP address that changes every day; we never store the address itself.
  • Why: to run the competition, to stop cheating, and to contact the winner. Your email is never shown on the board.
  • Trayner news: only if you’re 18 or over and tick the box. It’s separate from entering and never ticked for you. Every news email has an unsubscribe link.
  • Who handles it: Supabase (our database, in Ireland), Cloudflare (hosting and the bot check) and Resend (email).
  • How long: an email that’s never confirmed is deleted after 30 days. Entries and winners’ records are kept to run and audit the competition.

Your rights, and how to use them, are in the privacy policy. To have your entries deleted, email support@trayner.app.

9. If something goes wrong

We can pause, shorten or cancel a week if something outside normal play affects it, such as a technical fault or widespread cheating. If we do, we’ll say so on the board. We can update these rules for future weeks; the rules in force when a week starts apply to that week.
