Film a set. Get an answer.

Trayner tracks 33 points on your body, scores every rep and tells you what to fix. Then it plans tomorrow around how you slept.

Free to download. Your first 14 days include Pro, with Form Check.

A lifter on a flat bench with a loaded barbell at lockout, filmed side-on by a phone on a tripod

It watches how you lift.

Film one set. Four things happen.

  1. 01 / 04

Pick the lift. Prop the phone.

Choose a measured lift, prop the phone about two metres away at hip height, and hit record. Side-on for most lifts, three-quarter for bench. The app shows you where.

  2. 02 / 04

    A score for every rep.

Trayner tracks 33 points on your body through the set and measures depth, angles and tempo against a rubric for that lift.

  3. 03 / 04

    One thing to fix.

Not a wall of numbers. The cue that matters for your next set, in plain words. Pin it, and it shows up the next time you train that lift.

  4. 04 / 04

    Watch it get cleaner.

Every check is saved per lift, so your technique has a trend line, not just your weights.

Live Coach · Pro

Or have it count your reps out loud.

Live Coach watches while you lift, counts every rep and cues you mid-set, in your ear. Camera frames are processed on your phone and thrown away. Nothing is recorded.

Validated on squats. Other lifts are in beta.

  1. One.
  2. Two.
  3. Chest up.
  4. Three.
  5. Good rep.
  6. Four.
  7. Two more.
  8. Five.
  9. Last one.
  10. Six.
  11. That’s the set. Good work.

03Recover

It notices what you can’t feel.

Your partner can tell you slept badly. Trayner reads how badly: sleep, resting heart rate and HRV from your watch, graded against your own baseline. And it knows which muscles are still recovering.

  • Works with the watch you own
  • Sleep stages, HR and HRV overnight

04Progress

Your numbers write next week.

Last session sets today’s weights. Last week builds this week’s plan. Records, measurements and body composition are in there too, as something Trayner works from, not just something you look at.

  • Body composition
  • Progress photos

These things don’t happen separately.

How you slept changes how you train. What you trained changes what you eat. One Thursday, as Trayner sees it.

  1. Recover

    5h 12m asleep.

    Short of your usual.

  2. You slept short, so

    Plan

Keep the weight. Drop one set.

    Today’s session, adjusted.

  3. With one set dropped,

    Form

Squat 3 × 8. Depth held on every rep.

    Form Check, rep by rep.

  4. You trained legs, so

    Eat

40 g of protein to go.

Post-workout target, from what you trained.

  5. Squats again Friday, so

    Sleep

    In bed by 22:40.

Leg day tomorrow will thank you.

  6. Tomorrow starts from tonight.

Hands full

Phone on the floor.

When your phone is propped up filming the set, Trayner moves to your wrist, your lock screen and your voice.

On your wrist

Start a workout and it opens on your Apple Watch. Tick off sets, run the rest, and feel a tap for every rep Live Coach counts.

On your lock screen

Change the weight, log the set and skip the rest without unlocking. In the Dynamic Island too.

Or just say it

Tell the coach to swap an exercise, add one, undo a set or finish. It reads back exactly what changed.

Questions

Straight answers.

Which lifts can Form Check score?

Seven, measured: bodyweight squat, bench press, romanian deadlift, push-up, overhead press, dumbbell overhead press, military press.

Back squat, deadlift and pull-ups aren’t in yet. A lift goes in when it passes validation on real clips, not before.

Where does my video go?

It stays on your phone, in your form history.

For a standard check on a measured lift, Trayner reads your body position on the phone and sends only those points to be scored, not the video.

A deep check, or a lift outside the measured list, sends the clip to our server and Google’s Gemini model for analysis. Our server deletes it when the analysis is done. Live Coach never records or uploads video.

Where is my training log kept?

On your phone. Workouts, food and measurements are stored on your device, not in a Trayner account.

AI features send only what they need for that one answer, like a food photo or the body points from a set.

What if it can’t see me properly?

It says so: “Couldn’t score that set — your body wasn’t clear enough in frame.” Then it tells you which angle to film from.

Do I need a smartwatch?

No. Training, Form Check and food work on the phone alone. A watch adds sleep, resting heart rate and HRV, which is what the Recovery score is made of.

Does it replace a coach?

No. It measures what it can see and tells you what to fix. It doesn’t diagnose pain or injury. If something hurts, see a physio.

What does it cost?

The app is free. You start with 14 days of Pro, including Form Check and Live Coach. No payment details needed.
